About Real Time Repairs

Real Time Repairs is an online marketplace that connects homeowners with licensed, insured contractors for home repair and improvement projects. Homeowners post a job, receive bids from multiple contractors, compare options, and hire the best fit.

Homeowners describe their project and post it to the platform. Licensed contractors in the area see the job and submit competitive bids. The homeowner reviews bids, checks contractor credentials and reviews, then chooses who to hire. Payment is handled directly between the homeowner and contractor.

Real Time Repairs currently serves 20 cities across 2 states. Active contractor networks are in the Florida Panhandle (15 cities including Pensacola, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City) and Pennsylvania (5 cities in Berks County including Reading). The platform accepts signups from anywhere in the United States.

Real Time Repairs covers 25 trade categories including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, painting, landscaping, flooring, carpentry, appliance repair, concrete, fencing, drywall, pressure washing, tree service, tile & stone, cabinetry, and more.

Real Time Repairs is a marketplace platform. We do not employ contractors or perform work ourselves. We connect homeowners with independent contractors who set their own prices, schedules, and terms. All work agreements are between the homeowner and the contractor.

For Homeowners

Real Time Repairs is completely free for homeowners. There are no fees to create an account, post jobs, receive bids, or communicate with contractors. This will always be free.

Create a free account, then click "Post a Job." Describe your project, add photos if helpful, set your budget range and timeline, and submit. Contractors in your area will be notified and can start submitting bids within hours.

Bid timing depends on your location, the type of work, and contractor availability in your area. Contractors are notified immediately when jobs are posted. During our beta period, our team actively helps connect homeowners with contractors if responses are slow.

All contractors on Real Time Repairs are verified for valid licensing and insurance before they can bid on jobs. You can view each contractor's credentials, read reviews from other homeowners, see their portfolio of past work, and message them directly before making a decision.

First, communicate directly with the contractor to resolve the issue. Most problems can be worked out between parties. If you cannot reach a resolution, you can file a dispute through the platform and our support team will help mediate.

Payment is handled directly between you and the contractor. Real Time Repairs does not process payments or take a cut of the job cost. You and the contractor agree on payment terms (deposit, payment schedule, final payment) as part of your agreement.

For Contractors

During our beta period, Real Time Repairs is free for contractors. There are no subscription fees, no per-lead charges, and no commissions on jobs. When pricing is introduced, contractors who joined during beta will receive preferential rates.

No. Real Time Repairs does not charge per-lead fees or take a commission on completed jobs. Contractors keep 100% of what they earn. The only cost is the subscription fee (currently free during beta).

Create a contractor account at app.realtimerepairs.com/register. You'll need to provide proof of licensing and insurance for verification. Once verified, you can browse available jobs in your area and start submitting bids.

Contractors must have valid licensing appropriate for their trade (where required by state or local law) and current liability insurance. All credentials are verified before contractors can access the platform.

Build a strong profile with photos of your work, respond to job postings quickly, submit competitive bids with clear scope descriptions, maintain high review ratings, and keep your availability updated. Contractors with complete profiles and good reviews get more jobs.

Yes. Contractors set their own service radius and will only see jobs within that area. You can adjust your service area at any time from your profile settings.

Pricing & Payments

We believe homeowners should have free access to quality contractors without hidden fees or charges. Our business model is supported by contractor subscriptions, not homeowner fees. This ensures homeowners get unbiased access to all contractors.

Yes, we will introduce contractor subscription pricing after the beta period. However, contractors who join during beta will receive preferential rates and early-adopter benefits. There will never be per-lead fees or commissions.

No. Real Time Repairs does not take any percentage or commission from completed jobs. Contractors keep 100% of what they earn. Payment is handled directly between the homeowner and contractor.

No. Homeowners pay nothing. Contractors pay nothing during beta. There are no transaction fees, no lead fees, no success fees, and no hidden charges.

Trust & Safety

All contractors must submit proof of valid licensing and current liability insurance. Our team verifies these credentials before a contractor can access the platform. Contractors are re-verified periodically to ensure ongoing compliance.

Yes. Only homeowners who have worked with a contractor through the platform can leave reviews. This ensures all reviews come from verified, completed jobs. Contractors cannot pay for reviews or remove negative feedback.

Both parties are encouraged to communicate directly to resolve issues. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party can file a dispute through the platform. Our support team will review the situation and help mediate a fair outcome.

Yes. Real Time Repairs uses industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Your contact information is only shared with contractors you choose to communicate with. We never sell your data to third parties.

How It Works

Include a clear description of the work needed, photos if helpful, your preferred timeline, budget range, and any specific requirements. The more detail you provide, the more accurate bids you'll receive.

This varies by location, job type, and contractor availability. We are currently in beta and actively building our contractor network. If you do not receive bids, our support team will help connect you with qualified contractors in your area.

Yes. You can message any contractor who submits a bid to ask questions, clarify scope, or discuss details before making a decision. Direct communication helps ensure you choose the right contractor for your project.

Once you accept a bid, you and the contractor receive each other's contact information and can communicate directly. The agreed terms are saved on the platform for reference. Schedule the work, complete the project, and leave a review when finished.

Yes. You can cancel a job at any time before accepting a bid. If you've already accepted a bid, contact the contractor directly to discuss cancellation. Be courteous as contractors may have already reserved time for your project.
